Albert Byrd
Albert has been honored to serve as the Lead Pastor of Holiday Hill Church since 1998, when God led him back to his home state of Florida after many years away. During this time, he and his wife Amy, along with their two sons, Andrew and Matthew, have been blessed immeasurably. While much has changed in the church, the community, and the surrounding culture, Albert
and Holiday Hill Church have remained committed to intentionally engaging the world with the love of
Christ, a mission they will continue to
pursue in the years ahead.

Josh Slocum
Josh is a home-grown local guy from the suburbs of Mandarin right here in Jacksonville, FL. After graduating UNF with a BA in English, he received his M.Div from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft Worth, TX, before returning to Jacksonville and serving as a pastor at Holiday Hill Church. He enjoys watching movies and sports with his family, nerding out on
Green Lantern stuff, and reading about
random facts and trivia.
His favorite Bible verse is Micah 6:8

Administrative Assistant
Susan Blakely
Susan has faithfully served as the Administrative Assistant at Holiday Hill and has been an active member since 1998. She has a heart for ministry and especially loves serving in the preschool ministry, where she enjoys nurturing children in God’s love. Susan is passionate about supporting the church family and helping ministry happen behind the scenes.
Her favorite Bible verse is Mark 12:30
Media Coordinator
Stephen Thoburn
Stephen has a deep passion for worshiping Jesus and creative filmmaking. A Christ follower for over 15 years, he graduated from Full Sail University with a bachelor’s degree in film and was the valedictorian of his class. Stephen uses his God-given creativity to create videos that help people encounter Jesus and encourages others to dream big for the sake of those who don’t yet know God. You’ll likely find him cheering on the Jacksonville Icemen or the Florida Panthers.
His favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:10
Interim Worship Coordinator
Trish Thoburn
Trish has been a Christ follower for over 40 years and has a deep love for worshiping Jesus. She has been married for 38 years and is blessed with two children and three grandchildren. Worship has always been central to Trish’s walk with the Lord and her life in the church. She is grateful to serve as the interim worship coordinator and considers it a joy and privilege to lead others in praise. Trish’s heart is to faithfully serve the church and glorify God in all she does.
Her favorite Bible verse is Zephaniah 3:17
Prechool Staff
Kaitlyn Cavallin
Kaitlyn is an early childcare teacher who sees her role as a gift from God. She strives to be a loving and patient teacher, always remembering to view herself through God’s eyes. Teaching is her favorite part of what she does because she has the opportunity to help children discover their own personalities.
